Connecting your BoldTrail BackOffice account to API Nation
You do not need an API key to connect BoldTrail BackOffice. When you open API Nation from inside BoldTrail BackOffice, the connection is created for you automatically and is then available to every BoldTrail BackOffice integration on your account.
Steps to connect
Sign in to BoldTrail BackOffice
Use the account whose data you want your integrations to read and write. The connection is tied to this account, and records created by an integration will belong to it.
Open API Nation from BoldTrail BackOffice
Find API Nation in BoldTrail BackOffice and click through to it. You will land on the API Nation site already signed in.
Check that the connection is there
In API Nation, open your list of connected accounts. BoldTrail BackOffice should already be listed. There is nothing to type in and no key to paste.
Set up your integration
Choose the integration you want and select the BoldTrail BackOffice connection when you are asked for it. You only need to do this once — the same connection is reused by every BoldTrail BackOffice integration you set up later.
Good to know
- One connection is enough. You do not need to repeat this for each integration.
- The connection inherits the access of the BoldTrail BackOffice account used to create it. An integration can only see what that account can see.
- If you are setting up integrations for a whole brokerage, connect from the account that covers the whole brokerage rather than a single agent's account.
Reconnecting
If an integration starts reporting that it cannot reach BoldTrail BackOffice, the connection needs to be refreshed. Go back to BoldTrail BackOffice and open API Nation from there again, exactly as you did the first time. Your integrations keep running with the refreshed connection — you do not need to set them up again.
